FURI

Information

FURI is a rebel organisation against ESCorp. Many prisoners end up turning to them, because of ESCorp's harsh policies. Their missions office is on Nalikors' surface at [64][154].

The choice

Sometime in the game you will have to make the choice between ESCorp and FURI. Either way, you will still have to do either the ESCorp's Zone Cleanup Missions or the FURI's Free A Prisoner Missions, but depending on what group you go with, you will get certain benefits.

If you choose FURI and go outside the Karbonis Belt, ESCorp disowns you, you will lose your envelope extensions and you will become an Interstellar Fugitive, until you complete the mission The FURI. When you are a FURI member, as mentioned above, instead of the Zone Cleanup Missions, you do the Free A Prisoner Missions getting Minerals when completed. The downside to this is they tend to be further apart, the upside being it is only one block. You can also get items exclusive to FURI, the Syntrogenic Accelerator (gives you an extra LHC a day) and Saumir's Twinner (at the start of the level you get 2 balls instead of 1).

If you choose FURI though, you are really missing the goal of legally becoming free (but in a sense you are "free" just that ESCorp doesn't think so). You cannot switch to FURI after 52 ESCorp cleanup missions, as you are deemed to support ESCorp. If you are FURI as well, you cannot get the ESCorp specific items (some high ranking players have them because of a glitch when FURI was created).
