Hidden Missions

Definition

This is the name given to mission 'completion' texts that appear without having been given a mission text requiring you to do anything. These are often merely triggered by travelling around a few sectors after certain missions, as various missions have multiple parts to them. For example the Distress Call mission 'ends' with you saving Douglas and receiving a reward of some Solid Hydrogen Capsules. But there is also a hidden mission, In His Last Breath, whereby after completing a few more sectors Douglas passes away and gives you an extra life This is a hidden mission because there is no mission text telling you to "Explore a few sectors so that Douglas dies and you can gain his extra envelope".

Yeah to the person who edited the mission name - whilst the ITEM is called the Zonkerian Medallion, the MISSION name is The Moltearian Medallion. It wasnt a mistake, so ive changed it back.

I sent a mail to motiontwin asking that a while ago, for I was wondering the same. But I haven't got any response. So I guess it was intended this way.

oh no it wasnt that, just i had called the mission Moltearian Medallion, then someone changed it to Zonkerian Medallion as they thought it was a mistake =)

Yes I know :) I just confirmed that it indeed wasn't a mistake.
