In his last breath... is a hidden mission triggered by travelling around after the mission "Distress Call". Douglas, the guy you saved, has died and left you his envelope.

Douglas' cardiac signals are weakening: "I don't think I'll be able to hold on for much longer, kid. I leave you my envelope, which points to [-399][-76]. I've been traveling for so long... Thanks for your help, and thank you for having brought me some human warmth in this spatial emptiness. Everything here is too wide and cold for me. Farewell."

How to unlock mission: Play a few games after clearing Distress Call.

How to complete mission: This is a passive misison; it is automatically cleared upon recieving it.

Reward: Douglas gives you his envelope, which gives you one extra life.

Notes

It is wise to clear this mission before venturing out too far. The ESCorp will eventually reclaim the three extra lives that were loaned to you, and it's a good idea to get another before this happens (see: Emergency Envelopes Sent Back)

If you assume that your [4][-4] is his [-399][-76], then his origin point is at [403][72], which is just north of Samosa. There is nothing at [403][72]. No mission, no extra envelope, no anything.
